About the mall

Woodlands Mall has happily served over 80 million shoppers since its opening in 2004. The mall opened with a gross lettable area of 42 000m² and was extended in 2010 to 71 638m² gross lettable area with just over 150 stores. In 2011, Hyprop Investments Limited acquired the mall making Woodlands Boulevard one of Africa's premier listed shopping centre funds on the JSE.

Parking

Pre-paid parking cards are available for purchase at R50 from the Guest Relations Desk which are pre-loaded with R50. These cards can be conveniently used to avoid standing in queues and can be recharged at any pay station.

Disabled parking bays are situated close to all entrances and underground parking garages. Although every effort is made by our security team to ensure that disabled bays are not mis-used, we depend on the public to be responsible with their parking behaviour.

Woodlands Boulevard has specially demarcated moms and tots parking bays at each entrance to the mall, including underground parking areas. These bays are wider to allow for fully opened car doors and the removal of prams.

The parking office can be found in the phase 1 underground parking area. Take the lifts or escalators next to Music Moods or Heat Grillroom and once in the parking garage follow the signage or walk towards the furthest corner facing the Woodlake road underground parking entrance.

Info Desk

A guest relations and information desk is conveniently situated opposite Truworths and can be contacted on 012 997 9460. Our trained guest relations officers (GROs) can assist with gift card sales, directions, mall maps, lost and found items, compliments and complaints, wheelchair usage, shop telephone numbers, tenant queries, pre-paid parking cards and directions to surrounding attractions or destinations. The desk is open during regular trading hours.

Basic first aid is available from our security office situated down the passage between Truworths and Cape Union Mart. All security supervisors are trained to level 3 in first aid. Ambulances from Pretoria East Hospital located 3 minutes away from the centre on Garsfontein road are called in emergencies.

Many tenants at Woodlands Boulevard offer pensioner specials and there is free parking for pensioners on Mondays and Wednesdays. Please exchange your tickets at the info desk.

Wheelchairs are available for your convenience from our Guest Relations Desk. A R100 refundable cash deposit and your ID number is required to make use of this free facility.

Security

The safety and security of our shoppers and tenants is a top priority at Woodlands. We offer 24 hour security throughout the mall every day of the year which is managed by Fidelity Security. All parking areas are boomed and patrolled by security guards on Segways. All our guards are linked via radio to our control room where high definition CCTV cameras are monitored. The Woodlands security team works closely with the SAPS and Metro Police. Our security control room is situated down the passage between Truworths and Cape Union Mart.

Woodlands Boulevard is situated amongst predominantly residential suburbs, most of which are exclusive estates such as Woodhill Golf Estate, Mooikloof Ridge, Woodlands Lifestyle Estate, The Wilds, Boardwalk Meander and many others. 39% of Woodlands Boulevard shoppers are professionals, legislators or managers while 53% fall within the LSM 9, 10 and 10+ brackets, and 29% of those are LSM 10+. Woodlands Boulevard currently averages just under 700 000 shoppers monthly.
