Black Friday, the highly anticipated event more and more Woodlands stores are embracing, is a mere month away. Forget last minute holiday gifts, Black Friday gives you the opportunity to buy all the things (and services) you’ve been eyeing the whole year at a marked down price. Because we know how you love a good discount, we’re planning a massive surprise for you this Black Friday – but more on that later. For now, we look at what you can expect and how to prepare for the biggest sales of the year.
Do your research
In other words, don’t be lazy and make the mistake of jumping on the Black Friday bandwagon last minute. Retailers are normally very secretive with their deals leading up to the event but will sometimes release a little teaser. We typically post store promotions every Tuesday and Thursday, so we suggest keeping an eye on our Facebook page leading up to the day. Being aware of the sales will help you track down the items you want without getting overwhelmed by all the other deals (and hordes of people).
Stay in the loop and sign up for the Woodlands Newsletter! You can look forward to us dropping the deals closer to the big day so sign up and stay informed.
Make a list
The plan is not to get side-tracked by all the deals and spend all your hard-earned money. Make a list of all the people you plan to shop for and once you’ve found something for them, check their names off the list. It’s the one thing you can hold on to, to prevent the impulse of overspending.
The Game Plan
The plan should be to visit the stores you want something from, first. Prioritise your shopping list – it is terrible getting to the store just to be told that they’re sold out of what you were looking for. Use this to create your own Woodlands Black Friday map and refer to it as you work your way down the list.
Two heads are always better than one. This gives you the opportunity to track down twice as many deals! Not only that but if one of you need a bathroom break while you’re waiting in those horrific lines, you’ll have a ready-made place holder.
