From 1 to 9 November, Woodlands hosted a vibrant celebration of young creativity at our High Schools Art Exhibit.
Talented scholars aged 13 to 18 from high schools in our community showcased their original artwork, with select pieces available for purchase.
This exciting event included a competition judged by a panel of experts with three winners per grade:
Plus, the school with the most winning entries received a grand prize of R10 000!
This year, for the first time, kids had the opportunity to offer some pieces of the artwork for sale and the response from the community was astounding!
If you scanned the QR code at the art stands and you're still waiting to hear back from the school, then please get in touch with the organiser, Katrien Henning at info@ideasact.co.za.
It's the moment we've been waiting for! The panel of judges viewed the paintings and we're pleased to announce the winners!
The school with the greatest number of winning entries is CURRO HAZELDEAN! Curro wins a R10 000 Woodlands gift card!
Be sure to keep an eye out for the next High Schools Art Exhibit in the second half of 2026, as well as the Primary Schools Art Exhibit in the first half of 2026.
Thank you to all schools that took part, the learners, the teachers and art departments, and especially the winners!
