The Maribu Leather story began in a small studio attached to a warehouse in the Ga-Rankuwa township, North-West of Pretoria. With only two sewing machines and 4 community members that needed a source of income, their brand was born. Their need for affordable genuine leather products and their passion for social entrepreneurship brought their vision, and products, to life. Their genuine leather bags are currently made in their youth empowerment project that operates with over 39 full-time artisans/crafters in their Waltloo (Pretoria) workshop.
